Lightcliffe’s hosts Pudsey St Lawrence made a brave but unavailing effort to play Saturday’s Bradford League Division One game.

The visitors were sent in to bat and were facing a quick defeat at 28 for five with Chris Taylor, Alex Stead, Charlie Roebuck, Alex Lees and Suleman Khan all back in the pavilion.

However, Andy Garrod hit 51 not out off 77 balls to rally his side to 125 for eight before the game was abandoned.

Lightcliffe’s Priestley Cup quarter final at home to Manningham Mills on Sunday was postponed and has been rescheduled for next Sunday at 1.0.
