Brooksbank School’s under 16 netball squad beat teams from all over Yorkshire and Humberside to once again qualify for National Netball Finals in March.
The day started really well with a 10-3 win against Hymers College, a 13-4 win against Ashville College and a 12-7 victory over Sheffield Girls High School.
A very close game against Joseph Rowntree School saw Brooksbank victorious in the last few seconds as goal-shooter Hannah Boyle kept her calm to score from a penalty.
It was important that this excellent form was to continue as the team came up against local rivals GSAL.
In the end the Grammar School were no match for the Brooksbank outfit and the team ran away with an 11-3 win.
This fine form continued with a 19-1 win over Malet Lambert School and 12-5 win against Wales High School to become Regional Champions.
A proud Head of PE and coach Teresa Banks said: “The girls have worked extremely hard over the years and have shown great dedication and a high degree of commitment to training in order to be the best they can possibly be.
“The girls have made Brooksbank history and deserve every success.”
