Parish Cup outsiders Great Horton Park Chapel should be pleased with yesterday’s Parish Cup draw - a home semi-final against Triangle.

It means the other semi-final on Sunday, July 12 is between title rivals Mytholmroyd and Jer Lane with ‘Royd having ground advantage.

The draw was made at Sowerby Bridge CC yesterday during the tea interval of the first team game against Lane.

Division Two side Chapel have knocked out Low Moor, Luddenden Foot and Sowerby St Peters so far.

Triangle, the 2008 winners and seventh in the Premier, are the first top-flight side they must face.

Jer Lane and Mytholmroyd occupy the top two places in the Premier and ‘Royd will be hoping home advantage helps them avenge a four-wicket league defeat away to 2013 winners and current champions Lane earlier this month.

In the Crossley Shield, holders Warley are away to Queensbury while Southowram host Copley.
