Heath’s promotion hopes in Yorkshire One perished with a 35-15 home defeat by Middlesbrough while Old Rishworthians snatched a 16-13 derby win at Old Brodleians courtesy of winger Anthony Shoesmith’s late try.

Old Crossleyans rounded off their promotion-winning Yorkshire Two campaign with a 52-24 win at Roundhegians while Halifax Vandals’ disappointing season continued with a 29-13 defeat at Wath Upon Dearne in their penultimate game.

Halifax were convincing 43-7 winners at Sheffield Oaks in the Yorkshire Four Shield competition.
