Vandals make changes

Halifax Vandals travel to Baildon in Yorkshire Three tomorrow and will be hoping that they get a little more luck than they did against Aireborough last week.

The Warley men competed in all areas of play and on another day they might have won.

A game at Baildon is always a tough prospect and the Vandals task is made all the harder with the absence of five first team regulars, although it does give a chance for some players to show what they can do in new positions.

Jamie Richardson and Craig Sim are unavailable so Frazer Carrington starts at No 8 with brother Aaron on the blind side. Liam McDonald, who was playing in the backs until a few weeks ago, completes the back row at open side.

The in-form Andy Fox is partnered by Dan Murgatroyd at half back as his shoulder injury has healed sufficiently to take the field. It means that Shane Lewis and Luke Sutcliffe form a new centre pairing in the absence of Matt Farrar and Drew Drake.

The seconds are at home to Baildon thirds in their merit league.
