Picture Gallery: Halifax parkrun greeted by fast times and perfect weather

A field of 129 runners took part in the 283rd instalment of the Halifax parkrun, at Shroggs Park, on Saturday morning.

Oldham and Royton Harriers' Chris Newton led the field home in the 5k event, recording a time of 18:43, followed by Halifax Harriers' Michael King (19:56) in second and Joey Scarf, in third, with a personal best 19:59.

Keighley and Craven runner Clare Smallwood was the first woman to finish, clocking a personal best 22:36, to finish just ahead of Halifax Harriers' Angela Clark (22:44) and third-placed Stacey Cleal, from Queensbury Running Club (23:29).
