“After speaking with Simon about the direction that he wants to take the team, it seemed a really great fit for me to take on.”

“In this next chapter of my career, running out at The Shay in front of the Halifax faithful can’t come quick enough and I look forward to meeting all involved with the club and enjoying a successful season.”

He boasts two Championship Grand Final wins and two promotions to Super League.

Grix said: “Greg has been a stand out centre for the last decade in the Championship. He is renowned for his solid defence but also has a strong offensive game. He’ll roll the sleeves up for the tough stuff and has demonstrated his ability to get himself or his winger over the line consistently.”

“He’s a great fit for us in terms of experience alongside his playing abilities. I am looking forward to seeing him in blue and white.”
