Welcome to our live coverage of the final round of the 2024 Betfred Championship season with score updates from the monumental clash between York Knights and Featherstone Rovers, Wakefield v Doncaster, Whitehaven v Halifax and Dewsbury v Sheffield.

We will bring you score updates from around the grounds in the Championship on what is a massive day for Featherstone Rovers who know that victory at York Knights will guarantee them a place in the play-offs.

Betfred Championship: Live updates from final round

If things stay the same, York will finish in 4th on 30 points, Widnes will leap from 7th to 5th and Fev will finish in 6th and face a play-off eliminator at Odsal against Bradford Bulls who are finishing the season strongly. They are beating Swinton Lions 38-0 at the moment. Sheffield Eagles would miss out.

Dewsbury v Sheffield

Dewsbury have extended their lead to 22-4 at home to Sheffield! What a result for the Rams this is turning out to be! Greensmith gets his second of the afternoon.

Barrow have closed the gap. It’s 14-18 now.

Wakefield v Doncaster

Trin now 30-6 up against Doncaster.

Gareth Gale has another try ruled out.

York still lead 10-6.

Widnes extend their lead at Barrow. 8-18 up there.

Whitehaven v Halifax

The turnaround is complete at Whitehaven. They now lead Fax 22-16 after being 16-0 down.

Back underway for the final round of 2024.

Whitehaven 16-16 Halifax

Dewsbury 16-4 Sheffield

We wil be back for the second half son.

Widnes are now 16-8 up at Barrow. They will be in the play-offs if they win.

Dewsbury v Greensmith

Greensmith is over for the Rams!! Are they finishing what has been a miserable season on a high? If this stays the same, it won’t matter if Fev lose at York (unless it’s a heavy defeat and points difference comes into play).

Whitehaven have levelled things up against Fax 16-16. Fax were 16-0 up in that one. It’s half-time in Cumbria.

Iain Thornley is over for Wakey.

Sheffield are on the board at FLAIR Stadium. As things stand the Eagles are missing out on the play-offs to Fev on points difference.
