Ovenden, who will not have been “nilled” too many times at Four Fields, were unable to crack a watertight Elland defence.

The visitors’ points came from tries by wingers Oliver Fairbank and James Marshall, Taylor and loose forward Jack Fairbank.

Taylor and Jack Fairbank kicked a goal each.

Siddal lost the leadership of the Premier Division to Lock Lane, who won their big clash in Castleford by 34-30.
