Fax re-sign QLT from Castleford

Halifax have announced a second playmaking recruit in a matter of hours, confirming that Samoan star Quentin Laulu-Togagae will rejoin the club from Castleford on a one year deal.

Laulu-Togagae, more commonly known as QLT, spent May this year at the Shay after being cut by Toronto following their recruitment of Gareth O’Brien.

But his stellar form, and Castleford’s desperate need to find a ball-playing number one, saw him leave for Wheldon Road, where he was equally impressive until the arrival of Peter Matautia from Leigh left him surplus to requirements.

Now the 33 year old is back at Fax, after reportedly rejecting both Hull KR and Widnes, and joins former Swinton half back or full back Ben White, whose capture was confirmed earlier on Monday.

With White and QLT on board, boss Richard Marshall will hope his off-season goal of adding some guile to his side’s attacking game has been achieved.
