Fax sign KR prop Kavanagh on one year contract
Kavanagh, a Siddal junior who began his professional career with Wigan before making his senior breakthrough with Widnes, is the club’s second new recruit for next season, joining the Featherstone winger Shaun Robinson.
Earlier this week, Fax confirmed that backline pair Steve Tyrer and Will Sharp had signed new deals, along with player-coach Simon Grix.

“I’m a Halifax lad,” said Kavanagh, who effectively replaces Widnes-bound Tangata.
“Even while playing for Hull KR I used to come down and watch Halifax play so it’s something I’m really looking forward to.
“I think they’ve got a good squad with some talented young lads and so I’m looking forward to adding to that.”
