Across its various social media platforms, Halifax Panthers regularly reach more than 50,000 people and the club wants to give a helping hand to those organisations who’ve struggled during the past year.

“Halifax Panthers has always been a family-orientated club and we see everyone in Halifax as part of our extended family,” said Lee Kenny Media & Marketing Director.

“Whether you are a business that’s just started up, been around for 100 years or a charity with very few followers, everyone could use a helping hand to raise awareness and remind people they are still here and ready to engage.”

The club will be using Instagram, Twitter and Facebook to share posts and tweets from locals in order to give a much needed shot in the arm to those who have a tough time over the past year.

Charities, local sports clubs and businesses just need to use the Hashtag #PanthersBoost in their own social media posts and the team at Panthers HQ will be sharing to as wide an audience as they can.

The club will also be inviting the most creative entries to join them at a game and providing the opportunity for the two Panther mascots to help with further promotions so the benefits will last beyond the weekend.

“We recognise that a strong town is essential to all of us. We want to ensure we can shine a light on the amazing industry and creativity that goes on in the area so we can all come through the other side of this pandemic as strongly as possible," added Kenny.

"We saw the power of social media when we launched the Panthers brand with the club being seen over 700m times. How fantastic would it be if we could direct that many people to our hard-working charity, business and grassroots sporting organisations.”

The social media takeover day will be on Sunday February 14 and can be seen on all the Halifax Panthers' social media accounts.
