Halifax RLFC: Thrum Hall 13 project gets funding boost

The Calderdale Community Coaching Trust has received £48,500 from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) for the Thrum Hall 13 project in Halifax.

Led by Trust staff and volunteers from the local community, the project focuses on the best and most popular 13 players who have played for Halifax Rugby League Football Club at their old ground, Thrum Hall. The project will enable us to take the project to local schools and community groups with the purchase of a display trailer and also display it in a local museum. The project will be run over an 18 month period.

The funding has led to the creation of two part-time heritage co-ordinator (job share) roles under fixed term contracts until July 2018, with earnings of £9,000 PA each.
