The Toulouse-born Second Rower enters his 3rd season with the club having joined Fax in 2019 from Championship side Leigh Centurions.

The former French international has made 36 first team appearances to date, scoring 3 tries. And the 31 year old forward was delighted to be returning to The Shay for another campaign.

“I couldn’t be more happy to re-sign for Halifax. I have really found a home since I signed in 2019. I love the group of guys i’m playing with and the high standards that have been installed. The fans have always been class with me and I enjoy playing at The Shay as the atmosphere is great.”

“It was really frustrating to see the season stopped after a tough pre-season and with the promising squad we had. After 12 years as a professional player, I never thought I would say this but i’m looking forward to starting pre-season. I even miss Bob (Jacob Fairbank) and Salty (James Saltonstall) so that tells a lot.

“I know strong characters and great players have left us but i’m excited to take part in Grixy’s vision for the next season and hopefully beyond.”

And Larroyer has been using the enforced off season to maintain his level but also got a new perspective on his career.

“During lockdown, it’s been hard to train on my own but it made me realise i’m not close to retirement any time soon. Also, it made me realise how fortunate we are to be professional athletes. I never stopped training so I’m feeling good and ready to have a strong 2021 season.”

The back rower has made 180 career appearances to date, including 14 international caps, representing his country at the 2013 Rugby League World Cup.

And Fax boss Simon Grix was happy to add Larroyer to his ranks for 2021.

“Kevin is great for our group, he’s a real character who wears his heart on his sleeve. He is a solid professional, very strong on both sides of the ball and a developing leader within our group. He is happy at the club and i’m looking forward to seeing him at his best in 2021.”
