Record breaking sales of new merchandise as fans show their support for Halifax Panthers

The tills have been ringing at the Fax club shop since it was opened, with supporters seeming to throw their weight behind the initiative through buying merchandise and season tickets for the 2021 campaign.

Managing director Grayson said: “Absolutely amazing reaction to the Panther rebrand.

“The video showing fans, of all all ages, queuing outside the shop on the opening day was unprecedented for the club.

“What was even more special to see was the diversity in age groups supporting the launch and of course the club financially.

“Season ticket sales after three weeks have been just as sensational.

“Those that know me will know I am a numbers man, so here are a few interesting facts - season ticket holders are up 152 per cent for the first three weeks since launch compared to the same three week period last season, financials show a growth of 120 per cent in income again for the same three week comparsion, we have already, in three weeks, sold over 50 per cent of the whole of last season ticket numbers, which spanned a 21 week period.

“There is definitey something special starting to happen at Halifax Panthers.

“Thank you so much for embracing and supporting the club.”

Gary Bray, director with responsibility for the club shop, said: “Well, what a start!

“Panther mania has well and truly, taking over even before the season begins.

“We have been overwhelmed by the messages of support and positive feedback back from the fans.

“The first day of opening saw fans queuing and record breaking sales in a single day for the club, resulting in a near sell out of most items.

“A second batch is in this week, in order to cope with demand.

“We have extended opening times for fans to click and collect, or for browsing, with a special Christmas eve opening for the last minute shoppers.

“I’d like to thank each and every person that has supported us thus far, here’s to a new fax era in 2021. Up the Panthers!”
