Halifax were handed an apparently straightforward route into the fifth round of the Challenge Cup after being paired with St Helens amateurs Pilkington Recs in Tuesday night’s fourth round draw.
Recs are currently second in Division One of the National Conference and will start at long odds to defy Richard Marshall’s Championship outfit.
But Calderdale’s own amateur giant killers Siddal, who thumped League 1 Newcastle Thunder in round three, will have their work cut out to make it to the next stage after being drawn away at Rochdale Hornets.
Fax’s game is likely to be played at St Helens’ Langtree Park stadium, with all games taking place over the weekend of March 19/20.
