Elland are without a fixture in Division Two of the National Conference this weekend, leaving coach Karl Fairbank with time to reflect on last weekend’s 21-20 loss at Leigh East.
The Greetland-based side remain fourth in the table, although they are now five points shy of the promotion places.
“We were poor and they were just a little bit better than poor,” said Fairbank, who had Cayci Pearson back in man of the match form after suspension.
“It was a really warm day and we just kept turning the ball over to them.
“They must have had twice as much possession as us over the 80 minutes and it told in the end.
“They got a drop goal 10 minutes from the end and that was enough to win it it for them.”
