Halifax will kick off their 2016 Championship season at home to Whitehaven on Sunday, February 7 (3.0).
Richard Marshall’s side, who finished fourth on the league ladder this year, will then face the first big test of their form in round two, with a trip to full-timers Sheffield on February 14.
Fax, who went on to finish sixth in the Super Eights Qualifiers, have home advantage for their first derby date of the year, with Bradford visiting the Shay on Easter Monday.
The fixture list also sees the now-traditional break from the Shay in mid-season, with pitch works leaving Fax with back-to-back away games at Whitehaven, Dewsbury, Bradford, Swinton and Leigh, before a return home against Featherstone in mid-July.
