Halifax will bring the curtain down on day one of next season’s Championship ‘Summer Bash’ in Blackpool with a derby fixture against Bradford Bulls.

The two sides meet in league rugby for the first time since 2003 when they clash at Odsal on Good Friday and again on the final day of the regular season at the Shay.

But Richard Marshall’s new-look Fax line up will now have a third chance to down the pre-season title favourites at Bloomfield Road on Saturday, May 23 (7.0).

“It’s another big game, the kind of game we want to be involved in,” said Marshall.

“I’m a fan of the concept of the Summer Bash, having seen the Magic Weekend work so well for Super League, and I think we’re all looking forward to it.

“It should be a great weekend for the fans and the players.”

Ticket availability for the game is limited and Fax’s allocation go on sale at the Shay today (Thursday).

Further details are available from the club on 01422 342792.
