Fax look to push up gate

HALIFAX are on track for a minimum attendance of around 5,000 for Sunday’s Carnegie Challenge Cup clash with Bradford, although chairman Michael Steele said the club are still hopeful of attracting significantly more.

Fax have sold around 2,000 tickets for the all-ticket televised clash, with the Bulls almost out of their initial allocation of 3,000.

And despite both teams’ distinctly mixed on-field form, Steele urged supporters to turn out to see the first derby date since 2003.

“I think we’d like to sell significantly more between now and the weekend,” said Steele.
