HALIFAX rounded off their pre-season preparations with a morale boosting 58-6 victory over a young Huddersfield Giants side at the Shay.
Karl Harrison’s side outclassed their Super League neighbours - who fielded a team composed largely of under 18s, with former Wakefield full back Aaron Murphy and back rower Jamie Cording the only first team squad members on show - romping to a 34-6 interval lead.
They continued to pile on the points after the break, winger Rob Worrincy leading the try scoring with four.
Young forward Josh Barlow and impressive full back Ryan Fieldhouse both crossed twice, with further scores coming from the on-loan Wakefield prop Matt James, winger Paul White and centres Steve Tyrer and Ben Heaton.
Goal kicking was Fax’s only problem, with Tyrer, stand off Anthony Bowman and half back Paul Handforth only landing five from 12 between them.
