Halifax have confirmed the signing of the Featherstone Rovers utility back Will Sharp for 2016.
Sharp, the former London Broncos and Hull FC player, who has scored 55 tries in 74 starts for Rovers, has signed a one year deal with the option of a second.
The 29 year old, who can play full back, wing or centre, has arguably been Rovers’ best player this year and will give Fax boss Richard Marshall extra attacking options.
“Will’s an exciting player,” said Marshall.
“He’s got plenty of pace and he can play in a number of positions; I’m hopeful he will turn out to be a very significant signing for us.
“He was one player who really had a dig for them when we won at Featherstone earlier in the year.
“I also saw him in their final league game against Sheffield; he was the best player on the field that day, for either side.”
