HALIFAX will kick off 2012 with a new main sponsor - Elland-based Reactiv Group - emblazoned on a back-to-basics shirt designed to mark the 25th anniversary of the club’s Challenge Cup final victory against St Helens.
Reactiv, primarily a direct marketing outfit owned by Fax director Tony Abbott, will replace financial firm Probiz.
Fax chairman Michael Steele said: “It’s fantastic that Tony and his team have agreed to come on board.
“Reactiv Media brought a great deal of expertise last season, really allowing the club to improve communications to supporters and the media.”
Abbott added: “Since joining Halifax I’ve really enjoyed myself. The next few months are very exciting at the Reactiv Group as we’re in the process of grouping all 10 company brands under one corporate identity. This means a recruitment drive of 1,200 new people and we feel our association with Halifax Rugby League will help us attract talented local people.”
The new shirt, which marks a return to the traditional blue and white hoops, will be available to pre-order on the club’s website from today with the first shipment expected in time for a ‘Meet the Players’ evening at the Shay on November 30.
“It’s 25 years since Wembley and we wanted to pay homage to what the club achieved that day,” said director Mike Riley.
