From hometown heroes Embrace to comedy icons the Chuckle Brothers there has been something for everyone to enjoy throughout the years. Here are 17 performers who have attracted the crowds to Halifax, along with the show that never was.

6. Rory Bremner, Victoria Theatre
Back in 2016, impressionist Rory Bremner headed up a group of comedians at a gig to raise money for for those affected by the Boxing Day floods in the Calder Valley.
7. The Chuckle Brothers, Victoria Theatre
The Chuckle Brothers were no strangers to Halifax back in the 2000s with a number of performances of their many tours at the Victoria Theatre.
8. The Script, Victoria Theatre
This Irish band, whose hits include The Man Who Cant Be Moved and Breakeven, performed at the town centre theatre this year. Some fans queued for 18 hours outside the venue before the performance.
