Grooving back to the swinging Sixties

The clock will turn back to the swin ging Sixties when '˜SHOUT! The Mod Musical' takes over the stage at the Carriageworks Theatre, Leeds, for a two night run. Created by Phillip George and David Lowenstein, the show will recreate the Flower Power era with its blend of hip-swivelling hits, fab fashions and psychedelic dances - not to mention the great music.

‘SHOUT!’ flips through the years like a musical magazine - a colourful and fun-filled reminder of the fashion and freedom of the era.

The show features hits from stars like Petula Clark, Dusty Springfield and Lulu who became household names during the decade.

The toe-tapping spectacle uses terrific new arrangements of chart toppers such as ‘To Sir with Love’, ‘Downtown’, ‘You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me’, ‘Son of a Preacher Man’, ‘Don’t Sleep in the Subway’ and ‘Goldfinger’.

Set in London in the years from the early 1960s to 1970, the show follows the lives of five women in their 20s as they fall in and out of love and learn how to cope with relationships - while waiting for the men of their dreams to come along.
