Matthew takes a turn on the Rex's new organ

Matthew Bason, one of the youngest organists to take the console at the Rex, Elland, returns on Sunday, October 16 to make his first appearance on the venue's new Rodgers 333 Olympic organ.

His interest in music started when he was seven and cello lessons led to him playing in his school’s string quartet.

He became hooked on playing the organ after visiting the Tower Ballroom in Blackpool when he was 10.

The doors open at 2pm and the concert starts at 2.30pm. Tea and biscuits are available in the interval and a short film novelty will be screened. Tel: 01422 372140.
