Nine days of inspiration ...

The inspirational Mrs Sunderland Festival 2016 takes place in Huddersfield Town Hall from February 18-27.

And organisers want everyone to enjoy the incredible array of talent from singers to poets and instrumentalists to story readers.

lEvery sort of singing from German lieder, musical theatre, pop ballads to Walt Disney music.

lAn huge range of instrumental classes from beginners to accomplished pianists and brass soloists to ukulele groups.

lPoetry, readings and tales told in authentic Yorkshire dialect.

lThe Special Needs Children’s Workshop of music and dance.

lThe Sing, Swing and Sign workshop when Thom Meredith and Paul Whittaker lead 900 children in raising the roof !

Two concerts are also included in the programme.

Karl Jenkins’s Armed Man is February 21 with an adult choir, symphony orchestra and soloists after a full day’s workshop.

The Last Night Concert on February 27 is when the Festival reaches its climax. The evening showcases the Festival’s outstanding performers in front of a packed house including the Mayor and Mayoress of Kirklees.
