Orfeo 5 start new season

The programme is organised by a group of local musicians, with a further three concerts to follow over the coming months, bringing bands from all over the North to the town.

The first concert by Orfeo 5 features three performers from Todmorden, in a group that has been together since 2002 and which has toured all over England.

This was followed in 2003 by a commission from The Dylan Thomas Centre to set work by Dylan Thomas and W.S. Graham, which also toured with lottery support.

Since then, working in galleries, museums and arts centres, the group has completed five commissions and has run a number of workshop projects focusing on text-music composition.
