Young would-be clowns, acrobats and jugglers can try disciplines on offer daily throughout the week-long school break from Saturday, May 28 to Saturday, June 4.
Brought back by LeedsBID in association with The Yorkshire Circus and Super Friendz, after a successful debut in February, the Pop-Up Circus will transform a section of the city’s main pedestrianised area on Briggate.
It will include a performance space, with children able to watch an assortment of circus skills before trying them for themselves.
Each day will start with an introduction and short performance, before the chance for the young members of the audience to take part in one of three workshops a day, teaching multiple circus skills from spinning and juggling to stilt walking, unicycle and trapeze.
Offering activities for all ages and abilities, there will be daily story time sessions, arts and crafts and face painting, with free candy floss for those taking part.
LeedsBID’s Martin Dickson said: “Families are invited to come along, be entertained and get involved for free, while enjoying all the city centre has to offer."
The Pop-Up Circus will be on Briggate, outside the former Debenhams store, with all activities free and available on a first come, first served basis.
Performances start at 11am, with activities until 4pm. Circus themed crafts and face painting will be held 12.30pm to 2.30pm, with a Story Corner at 11am to 12 noon and 3pm to 4pm.
