Yorkshire people not planning to give up alcohol this New Year

Nearly one in three people in Yorkshire will break their New Year resolution by the end of January.

According to research, , undertaken by YouGov for LowLow frozen ready meals, shows that Yorkshire leads the way in the number of people planning to eat more healthily (36 per cent) in 2015, compared to 31 per cent nationally, but boasts the least number of people planning to stop drinking or reduce their alcoholic intake during the year ahead (6 per cent), versus a national figure of 11 per cent.

Interestingly, the survey revealed that nationally more women would be interested in learning a new make-up tip for 2015 (48 per cent) than said they were resolving to lose weight in the coming year (40 per cent).

Nationally, 40 per cent of women and 29 per cent of men confirmed they were resolving to lose weight in 2015.

Nationally, 36 per cent of women and over a quarter (26 per cent) of men are aiming to eat more healthily.

4 per cent of respondents in Yorkshire and Humberside said they were resolving to give up smoking 2015.
