Two faced: The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde

Love, betrayal and murder will be centre stage in Halifax when Hull Truck Theatre performs The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde.

The classic tale of good and evil will be at Square Chapel on Thursday, November 15 at 1.30pm and 8pm.

The chilling adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s book explores Doctor Henry Jekyll’s less-than-ethical methods as he endeavours to break neurological research ground.

When a close friend and colleague threatens to expose and destroy his work, Jekyll is forced to experiment on himself – and something goes very wrong.

Suddenly Jekyll has a new ‘friend’, the brutal Edward Hyde, and he has willed his entire fortune to him. But what is Jekyll’s true legacy?

Tickets for the evening performance are £11 and £9 in advance or £12 and £10 on the day. Tickets for the matinee are £5 each. For tickets call the Square Chapel box office on 01422 349422 or visit To follow the venue on Twitter, search for @squarechapel.
