It could soon be time to get your dancing shoes on at a former post office.
Tristan Edgar, 30, owner of Tristan Dance Studios, has applied to set up a new branch in Sowerby Bridge.
He has submitted a planning application to change the use of the Old Post Office in Station Road.
“My mum opened the business 40 years ago in Huddersfield and it’s been a family affair ever since,” said Tristan.
“We want to offer a whole range of classes for everyone from kids to pensioners – including ballroom, Latin, samba and more.
“There doesn’t seem to be anything for the over-50s and we do plenty of golden age classes where you can have a dance and socialise.”
The application is currently with the council’s planning department with a target decision date of September 28.
You can comment on the application on the planning section of the council’s website until that date.
