Halifax’s very own Wardrobe Angel Stephanie Roper will be appearing on our screens next week as part of an ITV Tonight special based on waste.
The show – which airs at 9pm on Thursday - will see Stephanie share her skills with a group of girls , telling them how to get more wear out of their clothes through recycling and upcycling.
The one hour special sees the 32-year-old offering all sorts of hints and tips on how to be fashionable on a budget whilst preventing wasting items of clothing.
Stephanie said: “I think a lot of people think that upcycling isn’t fashionable but we show people how to add leather trims, how to redesign belts, how to turn really baggy t-shirts into vests.
“One of the girls had previously thrown her clothes in the bin but said she wasn’t going to do that any more.
“Overall the reaction was really positive.I think they just enjoyed looking at their clothes with fresh eyes.
“Even if you think your clothes have got holes in 80 per cent of charity shops will accept if it’s bagged up and labelled as rags.”
