In Norland the final preparations are being put in place for the village’s 15th annual Scarecrow Festival.
The theme for this year is Musicals and there promises to be some fantastic creations- all of which can be viewed by visitors who can vote for their favourite.
Andrew Garbett, a member of the festival organising committee, said that thousands of people will enjoy the weekend’s festivities.
“Everyone is getting excited and there looks to be some good scarecrows,” he said.
Over the weekend, there will be attractions for all the family to enjoy, including the Hebden Bridge Junior Band, the Friendly Band, face painting, a Barrel Organ, as well as children’s fun rides on Shaw Lane Field.
Rough Hey farm will offer homemade cream teas and free parking over the weekend and St Luke’s Church will open throughout the event offering light refreshments.
Money raised from the event will be donated to a range of charities and will also be put towards the continued running of the festival in the future.
