Rotarians are getting revved up for the new Classic Bike Show coming to Sowerby Bridge.

On May 25, Shire Cruises Wharf, at the junction of Calder and Hebble Navigation and Rochdale Canal, will become a hub for lovingly restored two-wheel rides.

Bike enthusiasts have a chance to showcase their pride and glory in 11 classes with prizes and best show in trophy up for grabs.

Rotarian Bob Howard, a classic bike enthusiast said Sowerby Bridge Rotary Club came up with the idea for a signature town event and hope it will become an annual event.

He said: “We hope to attract a variety of ages - whether you know your bikes or not, the family show will have something for everyone to enjoy.”

A hog roast will be served along with other foods and drinks.

Hook-a-duck, face painting, plastic pig racing and a human fruit machine will provide entertainment to the public.

Entrance is adults £5, under 11’s £.250, under 5’s free.

Provide your pre 1980s classic bike registration number; year; make; model; name; address; email and telephone number.
