Just months into opening a new bakery, husband and wife duo Rachael and David Robinson are celebrating having won a top prize for their pork pies.
The pair, who run Robinson’s Farm Shop of Northowram, attended the North West Butchers Pork Product Excellence Awards.
The farm shop claimed the prize for best pork pie, triumphing over 40 butchers with 250 product entries. And not only did they excel in the traditional pork pie category, judges agreed it was the stand-out product of the whole night.
Rachael, pictured right receiving the award, said: “We cook our pork pies daily to make sure they’re fresh and flavoursome and make our pastry on-site.
“At the farm shop we believe that you get out what you put in so we always use the best local quality produce to make quality pork pies.
“Producing a pie is a real team effort from our talented bakers to our staff working at the shop.”
