The ability to cook from scratch is a vital skill for future generations and this year will see the return of the hugely popular Family Chefs’ Club at The Cooking School at Dean Clough.
The Cooking School is run by The Dean Clough Foundation charity and aims to inspire and support people to develop vocational and life skills for healthier, happier lives.
For over four years, The Cooking School has had Junior and Teens Chefs’ Clubs but their Family Chefs’ Club in which parents and guardians cook with their children took a break during 2013.
Says Head Chef and Operations Manager Dominic Hirst: “In the sessions we really aim to give the children a head start with invaluable cooking skills for life.”
The first Family Chefs club is on April 18 and places are available. Sessions are suitable for 8-16 year olds who must be accompanied by an adult. You can find out more at www.thecookingschool.co.uk
