This weekend we’ll all be watering at the mouth with the array of appetising aromas and flavours for you to taste at the Halifax Food and Drink Festival 2013.
The annual festival is in its sixth year running and this year will host more than 70 stalls; exhibiting culinary classics and innovations packed with flavour.
From 11am-4pm on Saturday June 22 and from 11am-3pm Sunday June 23 renowned chefs will take to the street stage and cook up some culinary delights.
Here’s whats on and when:
Saturday June 22
11am: Mamsy’s: Thailand’s favourite and classic dish Pad Thai cooking demonstration for festival visitors.
12pm: Porcus: Homemade recipes with an emphasis on pork and locally sourced produce.
1pm: The Demo Chef: Phil Leverington shows how to cook local foods.
2pm: Dean Clough Cooking School showcasing their in-house chefs’ masterpieces as well as hosting a workshop for children and parents; looking at healthy fast food.
3pm: Round Green Farm: La Luna cooks with venison.
4pm: Zouk: cooking Indian classic Butter Chicken.
Sunday June 23
11am: The Demo Chef: how to cook at home with food from the festival.
12pm: Coddy’s Farm: meatballs will be served with crusty bread.
1pm: Yorkshire Pudd champion mixes traditional with oriental.
2pm: Design House: Lee Marshall and a Masterchef cook up a storm.
3pm: Dean Clough Cooking School.
