A band from over the Pennines were so impressed by the dramatic scenes of Calderdale they’ve used it as a backdrop for a music video.
Rock and roll Liverpool band The Mono LPs say they were blown away by the beauty of Calderdale when they perfomed at a special Tour de France gig at The Old Bridge Inn, Ripponden, in July 2014.
Their latest music video, ‘Emilia’, was shot in locations around Barkisland and Ripponden.
Ste Reid, singer and guitarist of The Mono LPs, said: “We received the best welcome ever when we came to perform at The Tour de France party and were blown away by the crowd reaction and how nice everyone was.
“We thought Barkisland and Ripponden were so beautiful and we knew we had to do a shoot there. It’s our way of thanking you guys for providing us with such happy memories of a brilliant time in West Yorkshire.”
‘Emilia’ features acclaimed actress Christine Heaney.
