Big Band entertains with a Winter Warmer ...

Calderdale Big Band will lift spirits at its annual Winter Warmer concert on Saturday, February 7.

The band is hosting a three-set extravaganza of jazz, swing, blues, Latin and more at Victoria Hall, Ripponden.

Featuring classic swing era hits through to more modern numbers, the band will also be showcasing several new tunes as well as the debut performance by its new vocalist, Robert Gee.

Doors open at 7.30pm before the band strikes up at 8pm.

There is a licensed bar and dance floor.

Tickets are priced £12, including a pie and peas supper and a free prize draw.

Numbers are strictly limited so book now to avoid disappointment.

Tickets are available from band chairman Geoff Atherton on 01422 824242 or 07780 652090, or direct from Ripponden Conservative Club.

The band is embarking on a packed programme of bookings in 2015.

Future dates include a special World War Two 70th anniversary concert at Halifax Playhouse in May and performing at Brighouse 1940s Weekend’s grand finale dance in June.
