Christmas gets off to a cracker of a start on Saturday, December 20, when Dave Nelson hosts his ever-popular annual Family Christmas Singalong at 4.30pm. The event at Hebden Bridge Town Hall, a fixture on the town’s festive calendar, is an old-fashioned sing-song round the piano to favourite Christmas songs and carols.
The singalong will help raise funds for next year’s Hebden Bridge Piano Festival and there will be mulled wine, mince pies and plenty of Christmas cheer. Wainsgate Waits will sing four-part medieval carols. Tickets are £9/£6/£3 available from the Town Hall reception desk.

l Overgate Hospice’s annual carol concert will be held at Halifax Minster on Saturday, December 20, at 7pm.

Also taking part will be Hammonds Saltaire Band, conducted by Morgan Griffiths, with guest cornet virtuoso Phillip McCann.

Valerie Ashworth said: “It will be a concert of popular carols and special pieces by the choir and band.”
Tickets at £10 are available from 01422 379151 or from Overgate Hospice.
