It’s hardly surprising people keep coming back year after year to Halifax Choral Society and Black Dyke Band’s magnificent Carols & Brass concerts.

You only have to look at the pictures above to see what a wonderful time everyone has.

This year Santa will be on stage on December 5 and children in the audience will be helped up on stage to tell him what it is they would like for Christmas.

On December 4 the audience will be invited to join in Twelve Days of Christmas.

John Pryce-Jones – musical director for the Halifax Choral Society has taken this version to no less than The Albert Hall! Though people never participate so wholeheartedly as in Halifax, he says.

Participating in this years’ concerts are two young choirs - on Thursday, Mrs Sunderland prize-winning Rastrick High School Choir. And on Friday, Lindley Junior School Choir. The concerts are always popular, which is why there are always two. And there really is somethingfor everyone.

One thing that is guaranteed is that you will leave the Victoria Theatre full of Christmas cheer. Tickets for the concerts which start at 7.30pm are selling fast so move quickly if you want to go. You can buy them from the Victoria Theatre Box Office on 01422 351158 or by logging onto
