Sweet sound of roots music from Canada

My Sweet Patootie, Canada’s contemporary acoustic ragtime band, is set to make two appearances in Calderdale on its current 21-date tour.
A fun evening of dazzling musicianship is on the cards for audiences at Hebden Bridge’s Roots Folk Festival on Saturday, May 16 and Square Chapel arts centre, Halifax, on Sunday, May 24.
The band’s members are Terry Young on fingerstyle guitar and vocals, Sandra Swannell on fiddle and vocals and Anthony Thickett on drums and percussion. Founded in 2007, my Sweet Patootie plays contemporary roots and ragtime with tight vocal harmonies and sizzling guitar and percussion.

Tickets for the Roots Folk Festival are on sale at Hebden Bridge Town Hall or Dynamite, Hebden Bridge. For Square Chapel tel: 01422 349422.
