A parade through Halifax town centre and a host of free entertainment will help celebrate St George’s Day in Halifax this month.
The celebrations will take place in the Piece Hall, Halifax, on Saturday, April 20 between 10am and 4pm.
The event, which attracted 10,000 visitors last year, will be organised by Scouts, Girls Brigade, Girl Guides, Air Training Corps and Army Cadets.
The Mayor of Calderdale and Canon Hilary Barber of Halifax Minster will be in attendance and will receive the flags after a parade of the uniformed organisations around Halifax town centre at 11am.
There will be activities including caving, climbing wall, dance mats, abseiling, cycling, crafts and street dancing, with live entertainment on stage all day.
