Known as the ‘fiancee de danger’ because of her risk-taking, Marie won a flying contest in 1911, two years after stepping on a plane for the first time, and disguised herself as a man to serve in fighter squadrons in the First World War. After her true identity was uncovered, she championed the idea of flying ambulances and later learned how to drive a train and pilot a steamboat. Her thrilling story will be told through puppetry, storytelling and live music. For tickets contact the box office on 01422 349422.
