Perhaps best known in Calderdale as Pantomime funny man, Neil Hurst returns to his musical theatre roots next week in the intimate musical The Last Five Years.

In 2009 Neil started the Made Up North Theatre Company, based in Halifax, which has toured the UK with many variety based productions. The Last Five Years is Made Up North’s first musical production and also sees Neil taking centre stage.

A smash hit on Broadway, The Last Five Years is a two-person musical that charts the relationship between would-be actress Cathy and would-be novelist Jamie during their eventful five year relationship. Catherine Rice, who boasts many local leading roles and West End credits to her name, plays Cathy.

It is being staged at the 80-seat Wellington Rooms, Wellington Street South, Halifax. Tickets are £12 - book online at http://www.madeupnorth.ticketsource.co.uk, www.madeupnorth.ticketsource.co.uk or direct from Made Up North on 01924 657147.

It runs Wednesday to Saturday, July 2 to 5.
