Short and sharp laughs from Steve

With the cheers from this year’s Glastonbury cabaret tent still ringing in his ears, Steve Gribbin returns to headline Comedy@The Works in Sowerby Bridge on Saturday, August 30.

Steve specialises in bang up-to-the-minute, short, sharp and topical songs. His ‘short and sweet’ technique has kept him on top of his game for 30 years.

Also on the bill, Glaswegian Gary Little brings unflinching honesty and a hint of vulnerability to his comedy routines - and audiences are soon eating out of his hand.

He also has the rare ability to turn mundane, everyday experiences into comedy gold, making him a favourite across the UK. Fellow Glaswegian and long-time admirer Kevin Bridges described Gary’s comedy as ‘some of the best stand-up I’ve seen’.

Phil Ellis returns to The Works as compere and taking the middle spot on the bill is Jonny Pelham, finalist in the 2013 BBC New Comedy Awards. Comedy@The Works aims to bring the top names from the circuit to Calderdale. The show starts at 8.30pm,pre-book on 01422 834821.
