Gulliver’s returned home with some real tall stories but will his family cope with his strange new ways?

From invasions by little people, to a new baby with interesting developmental traits, Gulliver and his family have to learn to live together in a strange new world, where weird is the new normal.

Written by Zoe Seaton & Shelley Atkinson and directed by Zoe Seaton, the show stars Bryan Quinn (Gulliver); Patrick J O’Reilly (son Johnny); Shelley Atkinson (Mum); Nicky Harley (daughter Betty); Helen Roche (Granny) and Brendan Conroy (Jim).

Zoe Seaton, Big Telly Theatre Company said: “To tackle a classic story, by Jonathan Swift no less, was slightly daunting to begin with but we had a lot of fun with the script, imagining what Gulliver would have actually been like when he sailed back into town after 25 years away from his family.”

Áine McVerry, Director of Marketing & Communications, the MAC said: “Lots of audiences will know the original Gulliver tale, or elements of it like the people of Lilliput, but we guarantee that this version will be unlike any other.

“This is our first co-production with Big Telly and we’re delighted to be working on such an exciting, fun show together.”

lSee it at Square Chapel Arts Centre on October 28. Tickets from 01422 353 073.
