Calderdale theatre school Exit25 is celebrating its 15th anniversary with a super ‘Smash Hits’ show at the Lawrence Batley Theatre, Huddersfield on Sunday, December 7.
With performances at 2pm and 7pm, the show will showcase the best work undertaken by the Brighouse theatre school’s young members over the past few years. There will be extracts from musical favourites including ‘Blood Brothers’, ‘Matilda’, ‘Hairspray’, ‘Blues Brothers’, ‘Annie’ and ‘Seussical’.
The show will also mark the end of a busy and productive year for the group. Founder Julie Fountain said: “ We have been very busy this past year and the Exit25 Young Performer’s Agency has given children the opportunity to attend auditions for TV, film and theatre.
“Our children have taken roles in TV adverts for Nutella, Aldi, Domino Pizzas and Nationwide. One young member of our team just missed out on a role in latest blockbuster ‘Exodus’, playing the son of Moses opposite Christian Bale.”

Recently Exit 25 members took part in a masterclass with Sean Jones who plays Mickey Johnstone in the hit musical ‘Blood Brothers’.
Sean delivered a workshop looking at the scenes and characters from the musical and helped the children to improve their characters in a scene they will present in the ‘Smash Hits’ show.
