It sounds like the set-up for a joke . . . what happens when you get two genial Geordies, an award-winning Glaswegian and Irishman in the same room? The answer is the next gig at Hebden Bridge Comedy Club which will see Martin Mor compering a line-up which includes Gavin Webster, Dave Johns and Larry Dean (Sunday, April 13).

Comedy returns to the Old Gate pub, Hebden Bridge, at 8pm with Gavin Webster, who made his debut in Gateshead in 1993, rolling out the laughs. Since then he has done 3,000 gigs from Aberdeen to Abu Dhabi, Manchester to Melbourne.

In Tyneside his one-man 90 minute shows soon sell out and he has been building up a cult following round the country with his sardonic songs, hard-edged routines and uncompromising humour. His TV appearances include ‘Never Mind the Buzzcocks’ and ‘The Stand Up Show’.
